The series opened with Jesus walking on water in Mark 6:45-52, calming the disciples' fear, continued with the healing accounts of Mark 6:53-56, and closed with Jesus's confrontation with the Pharisees over human tradition and false doctrine in Mark 7:1-13. Together, the messages called the church to trust Christ's power over fear and sickness, and to worship Him in truth rather than empty tradition.
